Public Health Consultant

Rachel is an Independent Public Health Consultant working across the East Midlands and formally at Nottingham City Council.  She has a special interest in healthcare public health, healthy lifestyles and health intelligence and how these can be used to maximise the health of the population and effectiveness of clinical services.  She began her career as a physiotherapist and worked in a large acute hospital for several years before moving into service development and then Public Health.  During her Public Health training she completed a PhD investigating the use of primary care data for the study of congenital anomalies.
