Consultant Paediatrician Community & Neurodisability Nottingham Children’s Hospital

Liz is a Consultant Paediatrician in Community Child health working in inner city Nottingham. Her main clinical responsibilities include providing general paediatric clinics in the community, and specialist clinics in paediatric neurodisability. She runs a service for children with Down Syndrome and for assessment of children with suspected Autistic Spectrum Disorder. She is co-founder of the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group UK and Ireland. After leading on the Children’s workstream for the Nottinghamshire next stage review, she has been clinical lead for Nottinghamshire Children’s Health network, and sat on the Regional Children’s Clinical reference group. She was Pathway Lead Clinician for Children and Young People, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, with responsibility for quality and development of services for Children and Young People across the Trust. She is Lead for the Trust Medical Mentoring Programme, and she sits on the ethics of clinical practice committee. She is on the Royal college of Paediatrics and Child Health Medical Managers committee, and is part of the Colleges invited review team.
