Since the Clinical Senate was established in October 2013 it has:
  • Coordinated an unprecedented data gathering exercise across 10 acute trusts looking at the position against the clinical standards 7 day service for urgent and emergency care
  • Responded to commissioned requests and developed three proactive reports: meeting the needs of an ageing population, physical activity and exercise medicine, and meeting the prevention challenge in the East Midlands
  • Established an assembly membership from a cross section of professions and clinical areas
  • Undertaken independent clinical reviews in Lincolnshire, Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, North Derbyshire, Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex and Northamptonshire
